Photography and capturing of senses have been my passion since 2003 and I can certainly say that I’ve been advancing my natural talent every day. Extensive experience in photography has allowed for development of my own characteristic manner. I recall how I got hands on my first analogue camera and I managed to open up its shell and get a glimpse into the space, where time is conserved on a photo film. Of course without any real understanding I was mesmerised just by pushing buttons on the right and left, I was trying to use my fingers to stop the switch at the moment of taking the image in order to learn how this amazing world works. Yet in primary school in grade 7 I acquired my first photo camera Smena-8 in Berga Bazars for 1 Lat. First shots were made on a slides film in the Zoo in the company of a class-mate and a good friend Mārtiņš, who has contributed greatly to inspiration and thirst for getting to know the photo world better. Some years of silence came before the storm followed. Until one fine day I felt brave enough to ask for permission of the parents to take my grandfather’s well used camera Zenit. Permission granted! I dusted it, bought films and started active use of this serious device. During summers of 2003 and 2004 there was always space in my bag for the camera so that I could capture at a hobby level some evidence of what was seen and experienced. Ambitions were high – all shots had to be successful, every image had to be enjoyable. Before pressing of the button I had to get acquainted with the object, observe lights and consult friends when my experience felt short. Cameras Kiev – 19, Fujica st605n followed. I was always printing images on a paper and showing them to friends. First job offers started to come along, photo sessions, PR shots and then also the great opportunity of working as a photographer for the National News Agency LETA, where I was introduced to digital era. The result is always very important for me, as I want everyone to be fully satisfied with it, thus my ambitions are growing and I’m very keen for new challenges as a way of improving my expertise. All the beauty stems from natural sincerity.
PHOTOSTUDIO – a world, where everyone is invited in to feel and to open up for something new. The space of about 100 m² is a great place for creative air. It is well suited for everything from intimate moments of opening in-front of camera to gathering of friends and staging a photo event, celebration and capturing of a special moment for family or friends. I have my studio as of 2009 and it has always been a place inviting to “charge one’s batteries” and to return for more. These premises radiate warmth and homely atmosphere, here we are free to experiment with ideas, attributes, lights, and to create beautiful pictures for positive memories. In cold winter nights a fireplace treats people with pleasant warmth. The make-up corner is well lit and professional make-up girls are available to groom you before photo-sessions. Cars can conveniently be parked by the studio at a toll-free parking.
